Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and add them to your shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Go to Payments" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. ALL PRICES ARE CALCULATED IN POUNDS STERLING. We accept credit card payments in Five currencies, Pounds Sterling, Euro, U.S.Dollar, Australian Dollar,and Japanese Yen. Conversion will take place at point of sale.

If you prefer, we can accept payment by personal cheque or money order, in these circumstances you should choose the appropriate method and then snail mail your cheque to the address listed below:

Shipping And Handling

Shipping and handling charges are different for customers ordering via our on-line catalogue. Postage and packing is based on your location and the number of items you buy. We use the average weight of our Rugs to calculate these charges.

Summary: For UK customers, postage free. We always process our on-line Internet sales by hand to make sure no computer errors occur.

Delivery Schedule

We will normally dispatch your order to you within 48 hours. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery. Overseas Orders may take longer.

Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait
Returns
The cost of product returns is the responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise agreed by us.
Credit Card Security

We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are processed directly by our payment processors, Worldpay Plc. The Rug Company never even see the credit card numbers.

Security is probably one of the most significant concerns for both the shopper and the customer during an on-line transaction.

In reality an on-line transaction is probably more secure than a card transaction in a shop or conducted over the telephone or by fax.

Information transmitted on-line is encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations unlike these other methods that use standard medium coding.

Data storage on WorldPay systems, and the communication between WorldPay and the worldwide banking networks, is regularly audited by the banks themselves.

We employ sophisticated firewall technology and other security best practice's to ensure only legitimate access is allowed.

We ensure that we stay up to date with the latest versions of any third-party code we use, and continually review our own proprietary code, using current best practice at all times.

In addition card issuers protect cardholders from fraudulent use of their card in a card not present environment, such as over the Internet or telephone. As the shopper did not sign for the goods they have the absolute right to demand a charge back if those goods didn't arrive or the card was used fraudulently.

WorldPay also insure all of our customers against the risk of them going out of business.

If one of WorldPay's on-line customers goes into receivership WorldPay protects the cardholder by directly refunding any debits onto their card.
